The Guided version of the Chronic Pain Management Program includes all the features of the Self-Directed version of the Program. Our research indicates that not everyone is able or wishes to complete the program on their own. The Guided version provides an agenda and one-on-one support.

How is program guidance delivered?

It can be delivered via telehealth or in person.

To use the program, you will need a computer, smart phone, or tablet with internet access. If telehealth is being used for program guidance, you will need access to the telehealth software (used by the Nurse Practitioner or Clinical/Counseling Psychologist). You will need a camera on your device.

The person with pain and the Goalistics-certified Nurse Practitioner or Clinical/Counseling Psychologist will decide on the number of sessions. We anticipate that 6-8 sessions will be needed.

You will create a login and password and provide your name and email address. You will be asked to complete a series of interactive activities designed for exploring and practicing educational material, creating plans, and program customization. You will save these activities as PDFs for yourself, and you will also upload them to this website for your Nurse Practitioner or Clinical/Counseling Psychologist to review. Goalistics administrators will also have access to this material.\nNote that all financial transactions will be conducted outside of the Goalistics platform.

Your data is protected by industry-standard security measures, including SSL encryption for data in transit. Only your Nurse Practitioner or Clinical/Counseling Psychologist, assuming you are using the guided version of the program, and Goalistics administrator will have access to your data.

Use of the Goalistics Pain Program itself is free. You will pay a fee to the Goalistics-certified Nurse Practitioner or Clinical/Counseling Psychologist who will provide program guidance. The fee will be set by them. The cost may be covered by your insurance, or you may pay out-of-pocket.

You must have a doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.

You must have either a Master of Science in Nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited institution.

Training includes two parts: a self-paced online segment and a live virtual workshop. The online portion is available two weeks before the live session and must be completed in advance. The virtual workshop lasts four hours.
